Today, 24 brave students took to the stage with an intention to deliver an address that would inspire their peers.
A common theme was threaded through all the speeches: a love of their school, a desire to give back and an unwavering ambition to make school an awesome place for all students.
As a teacher, it is a truly moving experience to watch students you work with everyday take on big challenges. We have been truly inspired by the tremendous feats all leadership applicants have accomplished over this past week.
It has been encouraging to see the way unsuccessful applicants have so graciously supported those who presented today. We are so truly proud of everyone who has been involved, supported or encouraged someone in this process.
As we await the final results, we urge you to consider how much of an achievement it is to even garner the courage to apply in the first place.
